- Improving the quality of human life.
How it Works
The Extension Service was established in 1914 by the Smith-Lever Act. Extension programs strengthen decision-making, knowledge application, economic security, environmental care and leadership skills for all citizens. Issues addressed are identified through citizens, county and university involvement. These programs are supported by the University of Florida cooperatively with the Osceola County Commissioners and the USDA.
