Fall Florida Equine Management School Upcoming Short Course for Horse Owners

We will be offering a live interactive video short course for horse owners. The course will be offered in four sessions from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m., on the following dates:
- Health – Monday, September 14th
(“Signs of a Healthy Horse” and “Preventative Health Care”) - Basic Nutrition – Monday, September 28th
(“Horse Pasture Management” and “Nutrition-Requirements, Matching Hay, Feed and Forage to Available Resources”) - Pasture – Monday, October 12th
(“Poisonous Weeds ID” and “Weed Control in Pastures and Safety for Horses”) - Facilities and Safety – Monday, October 26th
(“Equine Emergencies and First Aid” and “Fencing and Layout of Barns”)

The How, What and Why of Strategic Deworming for Your Horse - September 15th
Topics of discussion will include the most current information concerning equine health and deworming protocols. Extension Services will be offering a Fall Equine Series on other informative topics, which include nutrition requirements, horse pasture management, weed control in pastures and safety for horses, equine emergencies/first aid, and fencing and layout of barns.
