Volunteer services provided by Master Gardeners

In return for instruction, volunteers agree to give at least 75 hours of service back to the UF/IFAS Extension in Osceola County. Master Gardeners volunteer in many ways. They help to maintain demonstration gardens, staff plant clinics, provide soil pH information and test kit instruction, assist in teaching classes, give speeches to local community groups on gardening, and other community programs.

Master Gardener Speakers Bureau

The UF/IFAS Osceola County Master Gardeners are available to speak to local groups of 10 or more on a variety of horticultural topics. Some of the topics that the master gardeners speak on are; butterfly garden, lawn care maintenance, common insects, vegetable garden, plant disease, Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles, exotic non-native invasive plants and many more. Master Gardener Training 2016

The 2016 UF/IFAS Osceola County Master Gardeners Training sessions will begin Tuesday September 13, 2016 and will run every Tuesday for 14 weeks. Questions? Contact UF/IFAS Extension Osceola County at 321-697-3000.
